I didn't think they should have been there in the first place.
I didn't need a crystal ball to predict the blood bath - why are our politicians such bad historians.(Rhetorical)

Only the British should be allowed to answer this question.

Our soldiers should definately return home, immediately if not sooner!

I heard an Iraqi on tv stating that things were better under Saddam. What reflection does this have on Bush?

Iraq and Saddam had nothing to do with 9/11.

Its all about oil, a war based on lies.

The first casualty of war is truth. The Americans like to believe they have a 'free press'. Nothing can be further from the truth.

Its a bit like the bodybags. Don't let the public see them, Bush's father said.

Like father, like son!

Yes.How much has all this war shite cost us tax-payers as well? What makes me mad is this 'government' for want of a better word, spend billions on a pointless war, they shut hospitals, schools and now even post-offices because they're not 'cost-effective'.Er,excuse me!!?? Is war cost-effective? If the money wasted on this bloody stupid war was re-directed to our national health ect, would we be in such a mess with local/national service institutions.I think not. This whole war is a farce and we should get our troops back home before any more children loose their daddys (and mummys).Blair should burn in hell for what he's done to our once-great country

I'm not gonna get into the We Shouldn't have gone argument with you. I'll simply attempt to answer your question. NO I don't think British troops should With drawl right now. Why? Well for whatever reason they went into Iraq with us as an Ally. I wouldn't want nor would I expect the US to with drawl from a fight and leave an ally left hanging in a fight we went into willingly. Now. That being said. IF Britain doesn't like the course the war is taking. Then I do believe they should Pressure the US for a Change of course or simply say IF you continue down this road we believe to be leading Nowhere. Then we will begin a gradual troop with drawl begining on Whatever date.

Yes the British troops should get out of Iraq now. The Americans should consider doing likewise, and I mean in a hurry!

Yes they should've never gone in! I honestly, I mean I read the papers everyday and all that, but I have no idea why we are in this war? I know I sound like an idiot and I even have a mate in the army who's been in afganistan and iraq and all that, but it all seems to be about money, or oil, nothing that is really worth killing and dying over.

Sure why not, just like the Americans. They will as the General said be withdrawn in 3-6 years when the task is done or they are no longer needed. Sure....too bad he was misquoted. Or I should say not completely quoted!

no i think the farce that is the UN should insist that all members do more. america pays 22% of the costs to operate the UN. yes 22%. there are 5 permenant members in the UN. i don't think brits should leave unless there are others like france doing thier part. terrorism will only suffer when the rest of the world does it's part.

What are you french? Typical sissy European answer. You probably think Iraq was a mistake don't you? Good thing Chamberlain appeased Hitler in 1936, that saved a lot of men, grief and money in the long run. I'm just happy we have the U.N. stepping up to the plate and preventing anything bad from happening in the world. Keep up the good work

Iraq is the only thing that Blair or Bush will ever be remembered for and it will be a phased withdrawal so it doesn't look like surrender. and when they do leave they have created a terrorist state for future generations to have to deal with.

Not forthwith, but as soon as is practicable without leaving a bloodbath behind.
