Hi. A friend of mine was working on a bunny cage for my rabbit, and he was arrested (nothing big, were still friends) and didn't finish it. Since he was building it outside, it's been there for a while- through rain and autumn (filled with leaves), there are bugs in it- like maggots. So I was wondering if there was any process or product that would allow a bug-hater like me to get rid of them, but still be safe for a rabbit to be around. I can't deal with poisons, not when I'm going to put a pet in there later as a home. So are there any suggestions? 'Cause I REALLY don't want to get personal with these creepy crawlies.

You can use Sevin dust. It'll kill the bugs but not hurt the rabbits. In fact most containers have instructions for using the dust on your pet to kill fleas.
