One time, at the doctor's office, there was this aquarium with three turtles, one of them small. That turtle tried to get on top of one turtle, but couldn't, and it got on top of the other turtle successfully, but it fell when the big turtle was swimming. Does this mean the small turtle wants to mate the big turtles, which are probably that turtle's parents? PLEASE HELP!!!!!!! THANX!!!!

perhaps the little turtle was just trying to "bask." come up out of the water for some land time and couldn't get up on his own. So he thought climbing up onto the other turtle would be a better idea. Anyways if it was trying to mate I wouldn't necessarily call a turtle a pervert for doing what nature intended.

1.) Mock mating is usually a mild form of aggression, and often indicates a too-small tank.
2.) Incest does not mean a lot for reptiles- they don't care for their babies- but they also don't seriously mate with the wrong size, species, and gender of turtle.

no necessarily my turtle does that all the time to a castle but that does not mean she like the castle and wants to mate with it

no, turtles like to "stack" when they are basking, haven't you ever seen them in the wild, they will all pile up on a log and they climb onto each others backs

When you see animals showing inappropriate behavior, it's because they don't have rules for what is appropriate and what is not. Mounting each other in the animal world is dominance behavior.
