And conservative is NOT synonymous with racist. Perhaps, if some poll and stats were taken you may find that racists are more likely to be conservatives, but they DO NOT go hand in hand. As a liberal, I find your assertion insulting.

Conservative doesn't mean racist.

However, what you get at is somewhat accurate.

The reason is that the most racist groups are far right organizations. Most left organizations don't have specific anti-racial tendencies.

That doesn't mean that all Conservatives are racists though in any way, shape, or form.

traditionally... slavery is a way of life... it was that way for thousands of years...

slavery in America was mainly African Americans...

so... conservatives, who traditionally want to conserve traditional values, wanted to keep things like slavery... which many consider a racist practice, since it was mainly done by skin color in the U.S....

therefore, slavery and racism became synonymous with conservative thought... but, for the most part today though, it's only the very extreme traditionalists that hold these ideas... which is a very small percentage of the conservatives...

but, a small percentage can ruin the name of an entire party... just ask Foley or Clinton...

I do. all the time. but i guess you watch CNN, and CBS, and all those other Liberal channels. I have discovered that there is no such thing as objective news. so dont take everything at face value. I am a conservative monority, and proud of it. how can i be racist when im the one they're supposedly racist against? go figure. ;-)

Racism has nothing to do with political party affiliations - and everything to do with ignorance and upbringing.

When you paint an entire group with the same brush, as you have in your question, it is in itself racism by definition.
