I have a letter from the inmate stating he owes me this $ I sent to him but I have since learned he is a super con and I probably won't see the $ but I want a judgement against him or a court date to get my $ back. I just want to stick it to him.I was "helping him out" until his paycheck would get cashed. Thought he was telling the truth.I only was helping him because I thought he was the only one to take care of his kids, and the $ would have gotten him out sooner to take care of his kids. Have received more info on him and realized that is not entirely true. Can I get a judgement against him so that as soon as he is out he gets to go to court again?

You can file a law suit against a prison inmate just like anybody else. However, you'll be spending your $$ to file it and have him served with a summons & you'll have to take your time to go to court. Moreover, depending upon local law, the court may order YOU to pay the costs of transport & security for transporting him to court, on pain of dismissing your claim.

Satisfaction can be expensive.

It would depend on the amount of money you gave him on what direction you would want to take.

If it's a large amount get legal advise. You never know he could still have assets you can put a lien on.

The same way you would if they were out. Make a police report.

You don't have to wait until he gets out. They can just add fraud to his sentence. Go to the police.
