i used to work as a projectionist so its always nice going to the cinema not to work despite the annoying kids and fat people munching overpriced popcorn. hold on....dvds rock. you can stop the dvd half way for a pee.

Well, it depends. Cinema is more expensive than DVD, but the releases are newer. Plus it can be an excuse to get together "Hey, let's all go see that new flick" usually draws more people than "Hey, I feel like renting something."

While I like owning some really cool movies, there aren't that many that I absolutely have to own, and the ones that I do, I usually want to see right when they come out anyways.

Unless you have a 50 foot wide telly at home with speakers the size of saloon cars, a reclining chair and VERY understanding neighbours, CINEMA!

DVD - comfort of your own home or car, pause, rewind when you want or something you missed. The movie is just as good a couple of months later
