I took a pregnancy test (actually five lol) and all came out positive. I called the Doctor right away and scheduled an appointment which he set up for a week from now, which would make me right aroound 5 or 6 weeks along. The thing is I lost a baby 5 months ago, and for the last two weeks I've been having some menstrual like cramping off and on (switches from left ovary to the right, sometimes in the middle of my stomach directly below the belly button) and seems to happen mostly when I'm sitting down or at night when I'm laying down. A friend of mine told me she had the same thing go on with her and she had a tubal pregnancy, so now I'm totally freaked out. I want this baby so much so I'm praying that all is ok, but this waiting another week is driving me crazy. Has anyone experienced cramping along with pregnancy, or do I need to be worried? I called the Dr. and he seems to think it's just my uterus streching, I'm still STRESSING about this though. If anyone can help...Thanks alot.

Trust your doctor, honey. If he thought that there was a potential problem like an ectopic pregnancy, there is NO WAY that he would make you wait until next week to see him.
I remember when I got pregnant, I suffered some pains like those you are describing, and I started crying because I didn't want to lose the baby.
I'm happy to say she is almost 18 months old now.
Don't worry, you are ok!

It is very normal to cramp during pregnancy. There are a lot of changes going on in your body. I had the same problem and was very concerned with my daughter and have had the same issue with my 2nd pregnancy, both of which were successful and progressed normally. I also noticed breast changes and more cramping around the times that I would normally get my period. Don't worry too much because stress is actually a contributing factor to miscarriage. If the cramps are accompanied by bleeding, high temperatures, diahrreah, or you simply just "do not feel right," go to the ER immediately. Otherwise, drink more water and wait to see your doctor. Congrats!

I had cramping at first also. It freaked me out as well because I had a miscarriage. I called the dr and he said the same thing, my uterus was stretching and sure enough I am fine. I am now 26 weeks pregnant with my first child. I am sorry for your loss. Good luck with this pregnancy!

I am sorry for your loss. Of course you are worried about this pregnancy. I would insist on seeing your OB sooner. He could at least do a sonogram to Rule out a tubal; at least that would ease your mind. I don't think I would wait if it were me. It would at least relieve your mind. I had cramping with my first son, and was taking Tylenol when I needed to. Insist on seeing your OB sooner so you can relax, and know everything is ok, since you lost a baby before. That's hard dealing with now, since you are pregnant again. These men, they just don't understand. You don't have to wait here. You have rights. Take charge. God Bless. I hope everything is ok.

It's ok. Don't stress out> I had horrible cramps for the first 2 months and they were a little worse that period cramps. They were breath taking some of them. Don't worry about anything cuz that will harm you more. sit down and don't worry about anything unless you start to bleed. If you are that worried just go to the ER.

You should see your Dr. regardless, but I experienced the same thing, along with some light spotting.I would imagine that baby is probably implanting in your uterine lining. I was really freaked out too, so I went to my Dr... I gave birth to a very healthy baby boy last month!

I am 5 weeks 5 days and have had the same thing for the last week. I am still pregnant so it must just be the body adjusting to the baby. Its annoying...at one point I thought I was ovualting again then I thought my period was coming. I think its normal.

It is possible to feel ur uterus stretching -- some women do and some dont -- I would try not to stress at this point -- altho i know it will be hard beings u were told about what possibly can happen -- try to take it easy til u go n see ur dr. -- he/she will reassure u of what it is that u r feeling in ur stomach
Good luck
