transportdirect.info - you can even book your train tickets (should you choose to do the unthinkable and travel by public transport). For cycling maps, try sustrans.org.uk - cycling maps for the whole uk

the main ones i tend to use for directions are
www.rac.co.uk and www,.AA.co.uk
these both have a breakdown of ur destination and also allow you to print these out for when u travell.
