I don't know much about remixing but I heard some of the tracks and some are good, some not so good. Her voice, however, is always better than good. I could listen to her all day and all night. If the prize was somthing like getting to meet her in person, I might try my hand at it.

Haven't tried that one. But generally, remix contests are horsepuckey. It's just a promotional gag.
Remixing is easy though if you work at it...but you might as well make your own music.

a remix is just remixing or rebalancing the original or mixed tracks, a each instrument and voices are recorded on individual tracks. balancing a track consists of adjusting the tone settings and volume. :-)

you probably need some sort of recording machine or mixer. its expensive, im assuming you've never done that before. so really i would move on. if you want it to be good, yes, it will be hard.
