I know how to cook, but I know how to burn it better lol. It's done when the smoke alarm goes off.

Yes I know how to cook, but the real question should be do I want to cook, then the answer is no! The key to cooking is cooking the things you like, and trying new stuff when you think you've mastered some of the easier things, I guess the best advice I could give you is pratice makes perfect, and when you cook for someone else you know you've done well if they're not rushed to the hospital with food poisioning! (I've actually had this happen to me, I didn't do it on purpose though)

Well, I at least know how to boil water and not to boil soup. lol I do know how to cook and how to follow recipes so I've learned from experience on how to be original with certain foods. It just takes time and experimentation. You'll get there. Like somebody else said work with the foods that you like and maybe find a simple cookbook to work from. If you get cable the food network is a great way to get ideas for recipes and cooking tips.

Yep... sorry to hear you have problems. There's a show on Food Network, How to Boil Water, that does simple recipes... you are following recipes, right?
Simple recipes? If you can't cook well, try easy things first -- follow recipes off of soup can or the back of pasta boxes, things that are pretty easy. Don't try making something difficult yet.

Get the Better Homes and Gardens Cookbook and start with it. Good basic stuff. Once you get better and more experienced, you can get a Joy of Cooking and really go to town.

Yes I can cook as long as I have a recipe to follow. You might want to try one of Rachel Ray's 30 minute meals. They are super easy and if I can do them anyone can.

I didn't know when I graduated high school, but I learned right quick after I got married. I was lousy at it at first, but now I'm not too shabby a cook. It just takes practice. You'll get there too.

It takes a lot of time, patience and practice. I'm a very good cook now. It doesn't happen overnight. Why do you think everybody's Grandma's food is so good?
