Not all do but there certainly are many that do! You need to report them when they do and let folks in your area know so these losers eventually go by the way side! Word of mouth spreads fast in small towns- and large ones too for that matter!

I to am a mechanic.
If you feel the mechanic is rippen you off, what you needed to do first was check out the shop
Call your friends and ask where do thy take there cars.
Yes there is shops that rip off people, but then again what do you thing the courts are for. If you discuss with the mechanic befor you let him do the work, and he does something you did not give oremission to do, you dont have to pay.
Check out the shop befor you take it in and you wont get ripped off

I DO NOT rip people off.....
1: I have the lowest rates in my city
2: I have payment plans for those unable to pay all at once
3: If I cant fix it.....I don't charge ANYTHING!!!!! not even diagnostics
How is that ripping people off?

because all the idiots who dont know a thing about cars are way to guible
learn to fix it yourself its far cheaper
