I want some real answers on this. I have no intentions on attempting this myself nor would I suggest anyone else try. I just want to pick your brain and see if you can think of any situation where cheating on someone can make the relationship last longer.

my own. for a year (during which I was pregnant) we were having problems. He was worried about the baby, the money, whether or not he even wanted a baby, we argued the entire time. He bagan having panic attacks pretty regularly, and ended up having one while on his way to the hospital when I was in labor. He didnt make it in time to see his son's birth. After I had the baby things didnt get better. He slept on the couch, cried a lot, we didnt have sex when I could start to again... I thought we were over. I started seeing this guy I met at work. It was strictly sex. It happened a couple times and I felt horrible about it, I just needed some male attention. I fessed up and we spent 5 whole days fighting, crying, talking about things we should have been talking about for the last 5 years. It wasn't until that, that I realized how much he really does love me. He told me if I left him he'd go somewhere and wait for me to come back to him. And I think he would have. After we got things sorted out, we had the most amazing sex of our relationship... and it's almost a year ago now. We're doing great, and I would never cheat on him again.

Yes I have a scenario where cheating saves a relationship, a woman in a relationship for about five years with two children, she is in her late twenties her husband was injured at home so he has been disabled for six months and she has to work two jobs to support the family, she is tired, stressed, and unsatisfied meanwhile a young stock-boy from the warehouse takes a liking to her and after countless compliments from the guy, she finally gives in and has lunch with him. The lunch date goes very well for both of them, she can tell how attracted this young muscular guy is to her and how he just wants a fling nothing serious, so she does it.The sex was awesome for both, she releases some pent up stress and her self esteem is boosted, she does it twice again with him, that is it the holidays are around the corner and the husband is feeling better.

I somewhat have seen truly some extraordinary issues on Yahoo solutions, yet i sense that you deserve a prize for the weirdness element of your subject. With an apology for being blunt, i do no longer see how you may even evaluate relationship that guy after what handed off. He appears a stupid, unfaithful, thoughtless, deceitful man or woman, who's making an attempt accountable you for the mess he has created... and that i'm no longer using more advantageous words in difficulty-free words because i opt to sound civilized.

I guess in a way it has saved the relationship of my friend. Hubby doesnt want sex, says he's too old. Lady finds another guy and has an affair. was able to stay in the marriage because of the affair. Her physical needs were being met outside thus when she comes home she's relaxed and not grumpy and can bear the burden of a sexless marriage. Doesnt that work for men too whose wives don't want sex? What do u think?

No, but if you just want to pick our brains like getting a snail out of a shell, I can be creative. Students cheating in a bad teachers class can make the teacher seem to be good and keep him/her in his /her job. ha ha
In a marrital relationship, If one of the partners is homosexual or frigid, the homo or non-frigid partner looking elsewhere might allow the relationship to last longer since those two would otherwise end the relationship. In either case I don't think the stay at home is gonna be too happy, but it can lengthen the "relationship".

I was such a Biatch to my boyfriend all the time, and was constantly being checked out by other guys. I thought that he couldn't do better and that he deserve me. Boy was I right, he cheated and made me feel like wow there are girls out there that would die for him, so I lost the act and became the best girlfriend in the whole world. He of course man up and I became more gentle and lady like. Him cheating on me showed me there's another world out there that would accept him and treat him better, so that gave me ideas to be a better person.

Say like the couple doesn't want to sleep together because they are in a bad stage and theres a chance they will brake up, and one of them cheats, then the other finds out and gets jealous so they think that they can satisfy their partners better and there you go.

Bill and Hillary Clinton for over 30 years! (Happy 31st Monica, seem it was just a few years ago you were crawling on your hands and knees at the White House.)
