A bank account, no. I think I opened mine at 16 with no parental consent. With parental consent you can even go younger. You can get checks, debit card, whatever you want at like 16.

No. I've had my bank account since I was about 12 or 13. I just had to have an adult co-sign and still at the age of 16 I have to have parent consent. When you're 18 though you can do whatever you want and won't need a parent to co-sign on the account. However, you might want to see how your bank has it set up just in case it's different.

Nope at Webster bank you can sign for yourself at 16. This is a savings account only and need to wait until the age of 18 to have a checking account.

You can have a bank account before you are 18 but you will not get a cheque book nor a credit card or a cheque guarantee card until you are 18 but you can have a cash withdrawal card like a Halifax Solo card. Which some shops let you use.

Yes, but many banks offer a student account (for college kids), as soon as your 18 it becomes yours . My son has this. At 18 my name comes off the account.

It depends on the bank. Some offer bank accounts to younger kids or require a parent to also be on the account.

savings accout, you can be any age, but you have to have a parent co sign. for a cheking account, you must be 18, and should have a job--- there are a lot of fees involved

you can have a checking account if you are under 18 if a parent also cosigns, but it's not a good idea.
