Why did yahoo delete my question about the N word?

They said it was because it was niether a question or an answer.

How ridiculous is that?

Anyway, I stated that it was an offensive word and that no one should use it.

I also stated how tired I was of the complaints (how come they can say it but we cant?)

It's complete BS... Yahoo is yet another Liberally Bias Nazi ruled institution. The people that are censoring it are all a bunch of geeks in high school that got picked on. Now they have a little bit of power and they think they are gods.

I wouldn't worry about it.. Just think of this.. .This is there only life... How sad is that?

I actually remember your question, and even though you explained that no one should use it, people will always take things offensively because there is alot of history behind the word and even though you explained how you felt, someone was bothered by it and felt the question in some way was inappropriate in its form and therefore they reported it, but i agree no one should be using the word but i cant recall if you stated this in a actual statement or had it in the form of an actual question, and in the community guidelines anything you ask has to be in the form of a question and not an actual statement, but some people like to go report crazy, so just live and learn....

I agree, it is one of the most offensive words in the English language, and should be removed permanently. Those individuals against whom the word is usually targeted should be ashamed of themselves if they use it, because they're only degrading themselves. I think you were reported and deleted because you pointed this out--the same reason I'll probably be reported, but I feel I have to resist liberal attempts to suppress the truth any opportunity I get.

The word is derogatory no matter who uses it.

i think the "n" word comes from ***** in spanish for black. The niger river is okay to talk about. there are derogatory words for most behavior, groups of people and races. the "n" word hurts some people, so guess because it hurts them, better not to use it. i'm not sure why it hurts them, but probably because they were taught that it hurts them, really it is not a bad word in and of itself but the connotations to them appear to be negative. some races are more sensitive than others. muslims are very sensitive as well. some of us are more thick skinned -- i don't mind if some calls me a wap.

Black people can say the N word because in their personal context its not derogatory. In my opinion though, a word like that should be ultimately dead by now. It's no longer appropriate for anyone.

The N word shouldn't be used by anyone, but obviously it's still used by those who wish to offend, or to pretend they are not affected by its use.

Simply regard any users of the word as giving evidence of their own relative stupidity.

this is not a derogatory word. some times it's the TRUTH and most times the truth hurts.
