Go in the week and make your supervisor sit down and talk with you. Do not accuse or be defensive. If you sound like your accusing her then she'll get defensive and stop listening. It's all in the approach, wording, and tone of voice.

Start out with something good: I just wanted to say that I really enjoy working here blah blah blah. I want to make sure that my performance is where it needs to be and see if there are any areas I need improvement in.

This shows your willingness to take suggestions, directions, and wanting to improve. This will also open the doorway to air some of your concerns.

"I know that we have very different working schedules and unfortunately that's make any type of communication between us more difficult. Is there a better way for me to be informed about changes and team meetings as sometimes I never get the information for one reason or another."

Don't blame her even though it may be her fault.

If the subject of your mother comes up: I know that your relationship with my mother isn't exactly the best, but I hope you know that I do not let that effect how I do my job or my relationship with you.

After the meeting document what was said. Write it down and the date you had your talk. If things don't improve, follow your chain of command. Just because you haven’t actually met your boss or your supervisor’s boss does not mean you can’t.

Be assertive.

This is boardering on bullying and the one thing a bully hates is being challenged, there is a saying called eat my frog, which clearly is something you wouldn't want to do, so i suggest you challenge this women and ask her if she has a problem around you and then, what I would suggest is do this at the end of a shift so that she can mull over it overnight and probably not sleep as I suspect you are not doing at the moment and then next morning go back with all your issues and let her know how you feel.
Under no circumstances do you stoop to her level because you are bigger than that.

Put any correspondence in writing and document what is going on. Keeping a record will allow you not to forget some of the goings on and her attitude towards you. If you have work e-mail, keep a hard copy of your questions to her in a file so if you have any disciplinary issues from her, you have it in writing that you asked for any update on procedures or policy. Request your team meeting in writing, keeping a copy of the request.

You may want to set up an appointment to come in during the week to meet with her and get her to separate you from your mom. If that doesn't resolve it, go to HR with all your records of how you tried to address the issues. Hopefully this will help. Good luck!!

Do you really WANT to see your boss?

Yes, you can go to HR and that would be the best course of action. They can help you figure out how to work around this woman's shortcomings and help her be a better supervisor.

Otherwise, just schedule a meeting when she is in the office and have a chat. Just have an intelligent conversation about what you need from her. No accusations, just hey, I have this problem because I don't exactly interact with you, how can we fix it.

You need to look for another job. That will focus your interests, and stop small problems developing in big ones.
And it's always easier to get a job while you still have one, so stop running yourself down, boost your self-esteem and BELIEVE that you can do it. That way you will get away from the problem supervisor and hopefully make some new friends too.

These things happens in most of the working area. If you can get a transfer from this department or another area will be wise. otherwise try to apply jobs that interest you. Since your mum working there it is better not to create problems for her. just make a move.
