There is only one version of World of Warcraft, it does, however, come in several different boxes. Same game, just different boxes.
Once you install and log in, you will probably need to download all the patches that you missed (there have been a lot since release).
They will have an Expansion Pack coming out in late November (or so I've heard). Most of it's content will be for advanced characters (Level 60+) But it does include new races for you to choose from (which you will have to start from the beginning).

The current game World of Warcraft can be found at most electronic stores. It costs $20. And you generally get a free trial, though you will need a credit card/debit card number when you install and sign up.
The Burning Crusade expansion comes out soon and that will be $40-50 depends on where you go, some store inflate the cost of everything.
You'll want to check and make sure your PC will run the game, so look up your system's capabilities and then go to www.worldofwarcraft.com to learn more about getting started and what you will need to do.
I think the other games you are seeing might Warcraft 2 or 3. That is a totally different thing though made by the same company. The other disk might also be a free trial.
If you still aren't sure, ask somone who works there!!!

Ok, there is the main game, "World of Warcraft" and the new expansion, "Burning Crusades." You must buy the original game first, which should cost you about $20 anywhere. The expansion is $40 or $50, depending on where you shop. There is no -third- game, unless you're referring to a free trial disc you can pick up for a few dollars at gaming stores.

There is only one version of World of Warcraft, all that changes is the Edition. I'd reccomend getting the cheapest one, but that's me. There is an expansion comeing out, and you don't have to buy it. In fact, until you have a lvl 58-64 character, maybe you shouldn't, because a lot of the content is for higher lvl people. Check the beginner's guide at Worldofwarcraft.com for more info.

Just buy the current box. It was $20 at Best Buy a couple of weeks ago, and you get a free month ($15 value).
