i dreamt there was something evil, lurking in the bedroom, i could feel it looking at me, feel a presence, i woke, heart racing, feeling spooked, when all of a sudden, my 7 yr old son, burst in to our room screaming his head off, nearly gave me a heart attack, said there was an "alien" in his room. Coincidence? We do have strange happenings in this house, but this was freaky.
It was around 3am.

Sorry about your nightmare but many mothers are linked to their children so maybe yours is very strong in your bond with your son and you felt his emotions.
As for your presence in the house I don't feel you have anything to worry about so good luck.

I have weird dreams all the time. Mostly about absurd things that would never happen. The other night I dreamed that the Blue of my eye( I have blue eyes) fell out, I looked in the mirror and actually saw it peeling out of my eye. When It came out I was blind in that eye but there was no blood just the black of my eye.
I was running everywhere trying to find a DR that would help me.
then I woke up and had to run to the mirror to make sure it was just a dream.
Honey, Your nightmare was just that. There are so many of us who have them. I have dreams that come true. I dreamed that a sick uncle of mine died the very next day. 12:00 noon the next day, I get the phone call that he died. That might be coincidence or something else. I am not going to investigate it because My unconscious is not broken, and for all the bad dreams I have... I have a ton of wonderful dreams with many happy situations.

When I was around his age I had alien dreams like that all the time. And once I dreamnt that it was pushing my head into a pillow and I couldn't breathe and I woke up crying because i really couldn't breathe. I think I had a asthma attack. Anyways that is a little weird. man and I am home alone for another 20 minutes and I going to be affraid the whole time. :(

Most probably your son was allready screaming when you though you had woken up thinking there was a presence in the room remeber it takes the brain 4 minutes to come to full alertness

The chances are you were aware of your son screaming and you have a strong bond with him. If you think you have got something in your home go to a spiritualist Church they should be able to tell you whats going on.D o your research on them though you don't want to get a fake.

one of you was having a nightmare and was making those strange gurning noises that nightmare-havers generally make.

the other was hearing those noises in their sleep and that was triggering another nightmare.

Occam's Razor applies: Plurality should not be posited without necessity, aka, the simplest explanation is usually the right one.
