Does anyone know if there is state paid childcare for low income families? I have never asked for assistance but I have the opportunity of a lifetime to go to school and get a degree in two years...my husband works full time and we have four children, we have recently relocated. We make it without help but are considered low income. If I could go to school it would change our whole life forever. I have two older children in elem. school and a three and four year old at home....I have heard of other people that have state paid childcare at no cost! Is this possible? I'm going to call and find out but I was just curious if anyone had any personal knowledge.

yes. arizona subsidizes child care for low income families. I retired from the Child Care Administration a couple of years ago.

call this number (602) 255-3729 for the location of your closest CCA office in Maricopa county.

or tell me where in AZ that you live and I'll get you the number for that area.

I don't know, but Az is full of retired grandparents who are far away from their babies and might love to help you while filling their lives with the happiness of children in their lives. There's an organization called: ADOPT A GRANDPARENT, but if they cant help, I suggest a newpaper ad. Say what you said here, you might have to ADOPT a COUPLE different older couples, and be warm and gentle with the ones who ans. your ad, say your children are your most precious possessions and that you will need references from, previous employers and friends/neighbors as you want to make them part of your family, but must know it's SAFE. If this is too embarrassing, you can hire an online company to check out the couples you like! Then you can relax! And get that education, knowing kids are safe and older people are a WONDERFUL RESOURCE !!!! bEST OF lUCK !!!!
If you think my ans. is best, pls vote for it. Thamnks!

Why don't you try to take night classes. Then you can watch them during the day and do homework. And hubby can watch them at night and get them to bed.
