If we change the balance of power and support my party we will:
1. Not have a rubber stamp to continue an illegal war and failed occupation which has cost over 2,000 lives of our finest.
2.Protect the Constitution, the Magna Carta, the Geneva convention and all the other treaties we have entered into.
3.Bring back accountability, a balanced budget, and fair taxation.
4. Make health care and prescriptions affordable.
5. Educational opportunities
6. Energy independence and affordability and clean alternatives
7. Stop the giveaway of Social Security.
8. Protect our public lands and environment.
9. End a culture of corruption where lobbyists buy favors and subsidies for big business.

I definitely think that changing the balance of power in the Congress would be the best thing to do.

Neither. The most important thing about this election is accountability and oversight. There has not been ONE oversight meeting regarding no bid contracts for Iraqi reconstruction, Gulf State reconstruction, nothing! This has been a rubber stamp congress from day one. Accountability!!

well, regardless of claimed party you have to look at every candidate individually to assess what they stood for and how often they change their mind. You want to vote for the person who would help address issues that you share interest in and pick someone who would affect your daily environment to resemble how would like to live. I don't care about the balance because it is never really balanced anyway, and I don't care about party because mostly all of government is just as corrupt and inefficient as any other.

What is most important is supporting the best long term interests of this country.

Among other things, Congressional spendng MUST be reduced (in real terms). Pigs will fly before this occurs, but it is essential to the long term health of this country.

getting the people that are in there out. I'm a democrat, but that doesn't mean I've never supported a republican.. there are a few that i can agree with enough and think they will do a good job (though it's rare, it does happen) i just want someone who will do what's right! for the most part i agree with the democrats and think most of the candidates will do a good job, and the ones i can vote for in my area i am definitely voting democrat because the republicans here are toads.

Well, since I don't want the balance of power to change, I guess I'll have to say supporting my party, though I would have phrased it differently, but then just from the way you asked the question, I can tell what party you are. No bias there, right?

Will be voting for two highly qualified candidates, that do not currently hold Federal Office.

Support you'r party. But we are too lazy to register and to vote!!
After the voting, if they passed something we don't like, then we squak!!
