To be precise, it should really all depend on who you are. But in general, I would think one spend too much time on internet if one's internet hobby interferes or affect their normal daily life.

In 24 hours, everyone need to spend time on certain things such as eating(1-3 hours a day), sleeping(5 to 9 hours a day) and working or studying (6 to 12 hours a day unless you're a billionaire). In order to maintain normal life, these are mandatory.

Just these three activities alone would need minimum of 12 to maximum of 24 hours a day. That would mean you're spending too much time on internet (no matter who you are) if you're spending more than 12 hours a day...meaning you have no time to do anything else (exercise, meeting people, and etc) with your life.

The true answer can only be done by yourself. Write down what things you must do to daily to maintain quality life (besides internet) and see how much free time you have left for anything else. If you spend all remaining free time, you'd still be spending too much time on internet as you must have other non essential things to do with your life such as watching tv, playing video game, talk on the phone with your friends and such.

Good luck!

I spend much of my time on the computer. Right after school I get on and I dont go to bed untill 3 in the morning. I think Im a perfect example.

I suggest going for an hour or two and then taking a hour break. It helps prevent strain on your eyes
