You will also notice that the bad guy (usually wearing a black hat!) will run out of bullets just as he's got the good guy (usually wearing a white hat!) backed into a corner with no where to go!! LOL

Hey, I don't think Ben, Hoss, Adam and Little Joe ever had to reload.
Neither did Roy Rogers or Matt Dillon or Daniel Boone or Davy Crocket or The Lone Ranger and Tonto.
They all had a real big gun that must have held a 1000 or more bullets.

The cap and ball revolvers had removable cylinders so an enthusiastic shooter could carry pre-loaded spares and effect quick changes off camera. Well, that is what my Daddy told me many years ago.

This happens a lot in cop shows too- the bad guys always never seem to hit their targets and the officers gun never jams, needs reloading and they can hit even the smallest target. It happens a lot on CSI:Miami with Horatio Caine.

It was done to fool your opponent, instead of firing the gun you make a bang sound and hope that the guy your fighting against is counting the shots, when he steps out from his hiding place then Blamo, you get him
