No, and it is not because of his "lack" of political experience, if anything that is a plus in my opinion. The last thing you want is a career politician in office.
I always find it funny that the first criticism thrown at nouveau politicians by career ones is that their lack of political experience would be a huge detriment.
Well if that were the case than what did they do in 1790, when no one on earth had any experience running the Federal government?
The people in 1790 where a billion times better at running the Federal government than anyone today!
My problem with him is he is way too liberal and will polarize the country even more than Bush currently does.
I know Oprah thinks she can make anything she wants happen, but convincing the most liberal segment of the population, the Academy Awards voters, to select Crash as Best Picture of the year is not the same as convincing the majority of American voters, who are slightly right of center, to put an extreme liberal in the White House.
P.S. Katie, do you even know what Law Review is? It is nice but it is not that big of a deal, pretty much any one in law school can do it!

Absolutely...I just asked this question as well. You must be watching Oprah:)
Every time I have heard him speak, he moves me. I tear up at times because everything he says strikes a chord within me, because what he says is truth.
His empathy knows no bounds, and beyond that he has an amazing ability to empathize and then do what is right for the masses, balance if you will. I am reminded of the definition of enlightenment whenever I see him. His major issues, i.e. healthcare, medicare reform, minimum wage increase, other energy sources, what he says SHOULD be the issues within the "family values" platform, resonate the importance of these and how issues such as gay rights and abortion can become all illuminating, relagating other important issues to the dark and dusty corner. I will stop ranting and urge all of you to just listen to him once and hear what he has to say, and hopefully you will feel the hope I do.
P.S. little fun fact -- he was the first black president of the Harvard Law Review.
P.S. Yes I know what law review is, however I think that becoming the first African American to take the post at Harvard law school, of all places, was a feat in itself, therefore that is why I stated it as a "little fun fact".

It relies upon on what his regulations could have been. i did not vote for him because of the fact i believe his political ideals will harm this united states. His politics could could desire to be thoroughly distinctive to run as a republican, he could never are becoming to be the nomination from the republican social gathering along with his some distance left liberal perspectives.

I the only negative I see is a lack of experience in the federal government. He's only less than two years into his first term as senator.

Nice guy, but probably not. I believe he is misguided regarding social issues and how they should be addressed, as well as who should take the lead in addressing them.
He needs a good deal more wisdom (as do all the political candidates).
