I saw Derek Arkorah in his live show a couple of weeks ago and went with a positive mind as I was impressed with the T.V. show. I am sorry to report that I believe the whole set up is a huge con. In the 2 and 1/2 hour show, just 5 attempts were made to connect with someone in the audience and Derek's acting skills do not stand up well in a 'live' show. The entire show was tacky, sentimental and totally unconvincing. He has only to look in the local phone book to see the most common names. The names he quoted were : Jones, Collins, Smith etc.. Oh Dear, oh Dear. I believed Derek was basically a nice man, but when you think he is deceiving the public, like many so-called mediums before him, perhaps he is not so nice after all.

I really think that Derek is a complete charlatan, an actor. The entire show is a sham, scripted from start to finish, and only the terminally guillible could possibly believe any of it is real. Sorry, but there it is.
TV regulator Ofcom invesigated the show. They came to the conclusion that Most Haunted is not a serious investigation into the paranormal and should be treated as nothing more than entertainment.
Ofcom quote: "These, along with the graphics, music, and night-vision camera sequences, all suggested a high degree of showmanship that puts it beyond what we believe to be a generally accepted understanding of what comprises a legitimate investigation." http://www.ofcom.org.uk/tv/obb/prog_cb/pcb46/

Unfortunately he is given info before the show so he does know but it's not realy all his fault because on TV you have to get results and when under that presure it's hard to get links (Contact Spirit) Deep down Derek is a realy nice guy I met him a few times from his Church days when he served churches.
Shame TV has changed him

Get this which comes from a good source... NOTHING, ABOLUTELY NOTHING THAT COMES FROM TV IS REAL. It is pure entertainement... and that is where it stops. My sister in law works for a major British TV channel and that is your source... Not even competitions, not even one of them is real. Nobody wins anything... one of the participants works for the TV channel and "knows" all the answers to the questions given beforehand. How does that grab you ?! It shocked me when I heard it ! You don't really believe the The X Factor is about finding futures stars, do you ? How many long lasting Super Stars have come out of X Factor or American Idol ?

Sorry to say but I think the show is a fraud and that Derek has information passed to him from extensive research carried out before filming.

I would like to think that he has no prior knowledge. Although I'm glad that he has now left and David Wells has taken primarily over as he seems more genuine and more accurate!

Derek lost the plot a while back, that's why they started bringing in other 'psychics' to slowly replace him, which they have now done. I lost faith in the team, and now believe that they make it all up. Spoon throwing charlatans.

I am just a nobody.....right......who "see`s" things, "hears" things, gives random readings, gets it right every time. I dream things, they happen, fact. I "sense" a presence, good and bad, i know when someone has passed, before they have passed, don`t ask me how, cause i don`t know, i just do. Derek Acora, is a fake, fact! It is a load of old codswallop, he is as psychic, as my next door`s dog, fact!
Before i am told they have passed, put that wrong.

Yes I agree the show is a fraud its all staged i watched it vigorously every week for a long time until i realised things were not as they seemed. What a shame.
