That is totally correct, Magneto can make Wolvie a living weapon against his teammates. It was done on the cover of Uncanny X-men 112 where Magneto uses his powers on Wolvie. Ciao baby!!!

In all the comics Magneto has always been able to control the metal in Wolverine. That's why Wolverine is rarely even seen trying to fight Magneto...

I don't remember it ever happening in any comics or even episodes of the cartoon but as far as the story line goes the adamantium in wolverine is a metal, so I guess that it true. Unfortunately there are many problems with the movies. Any true X men lover could spot most of them fairly easily. Like the height issues between Wolverine and Storm! That made me angry, wolverine was a shorter guy, 5' 10" I believe the comics said. Storm was a really tall amazon chick. Halle Berry is WAY to short for that role and Hugh Jackman is WAY to tall!

In the comic, Magneto does use his powers to rip the adamantium from Wolverines bones, so I would say that yes, he can control the metal.

Yes he can. If a guy has too much iron in his blood and magneto can sense it and take it out of the guy then the metal in wolverines body will be super easy to control.

a friend of mine is a super fan and he told me about a story arc that had Magneto actually de-metal Wolverine, (kind of like he did the gaurd in X2) and Wolvie went a couple of years w/o the adamantium, and only having bone claws. after a while he was returned to his normal state. I forget if he was actually reprocessed, or if the new writer just decided to put the metal back on and didnt address continuity.
So yes he can manipulate adamantium.

Adamantium is a steel alloy, says the official Marvel site. Magneto can control all magnetic metals (iron, nickel and cobalt, and their alloys.) Adamantium contains iron, therefore Magneto can control Adamantium. The movies portray Magneto wrong if they think he can control any nonmagentic metals like copper or aluminum.

Allright, I'm going to smack the next person who thinks seeing the movie is just as good as reading the comic or the book. Magneto can controll all forms of metal including Adamantium!

the movie was quite accurate in Magneto's ability to control the metal in Wolverine's bones. In the Comic's he even removed the Metal several years ago, molecule by molecule, pulling it out throgh the pores. in Wolverine's skin.

Yes he can. In fact Magneto was able to rip the adamentium off Wolverine's skeleton which revealed that Wolverine's claws are actually a part of his body and not something that was added to him.
