Chances are good, but you are only half way there! With schools being more and more competitive to get into you have to prove that you are smarter than the other applicants who have the same acheivements as you. The only thing I can say is do very, very well on the SATS or ACTS or whatever it is they're making you take nowadays. Also write a good entrance essay if the school requires it. Have one of your english teachers help you. If you don't get into your first choice right away it's always easier to transfer from a smaller school after a semester or two if you excel there. Good luck to you!

Your chances are fair. See, they'll get five times as many applications - or more - as they have openings in every year's freshman class. You would have a better chance by taking an Associate's degree from a community college (junior college), earning high marks there, and then applying to transfer to UCLA or UCSD. And hey - wassa matter wit' UC Berkely, or UC Davis? In fact, all your University of California schools are tops. Ya don't have to go to the one with the highest name recognition to get an outstanding education!

As long as you have been involved in many clubs/extracurricular activities and pass all your classes with a "C" or better I think you will have a lot of chances to get into any of those 2 universities.
