Battlestar requires people to pay attention and follow the different story lines and characters. I don't know that you have to be smart but you do need an attention span. I love the the show. I tape it so that the commercials don't ruin the flow.

you probably meant "dumb" people , right?, I can't even begin to describe how much that show sucks. I especially dislike the whole religious crap they try to force on you. Am I supposed to feel sorry for the dumb a-- "president"?, that woman is so useless, everybody is so useless!, why is it that they do one stupid thing after another?????.
Anyways, I watch it but just to make fun of how dumb the show is. Same with "Lost" :D
