THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PROTECTING BORDERS
IN THE 21ST C IT BREACHED THAT DUTY. THUS, RESULTING IN A GLUT OF UNSKILLED MEXICAN WORKERS THAT BURDENED THE COUNTY AND STATE, BUT, THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT BENEFITED, MINIMALLY, WITH FEDERAL INCOME TAXES.

THE CONSTITUTION ORIGNIALLY ALLOWED FOR
SUCCESSION. THE UNION ERRED. RESULTING IN A TERRIBLE CIVIL WAR 1860 - 1865..
DID AMENDMENTS WITHDRAW OUR RIGHTS TO
SUSCEED? DEBATABLE

SHOULD CALIFORNIA???
IS IT READY TO
PROTECT ITS BORDERS
MAINTAIN A STANDING ARMY
ASSUME FIANACIAL RESPONSIBILITY FOR
EDUCATION, INTERSTATE HIGHWAYS, COAST GUARD
DEFENSE, IF SO GREAT...
UNITY HAS MANY BENEFITS I THINK..
IT'S A FEASIBLITY STUDY ISSUE.

Yes, if you live (legally) in California today. No, if you live anywhere else in the U.S. or Mexico. California exports so much more than they import, especially with the rest of the U.S. The State is fairly self-sufficient now, and would easily become completely independent if it was its own Country. The other 49 states would suffer drastically, as most of theses States, and many other Countries rely on California for many basic foods. Fruits, vegetables, milk and other dairy products, nuts, rice (yes, rice. In fact, Japan imports the majority of the rice they consume from California!), and many other food products. Without California, the rest of the States that are west of the Mississippi River would still be largely uninhabited. So, it depends on where you live now, and what type of life style you want for yourself and your posterity.

No. But maybe when the San Andreas fault breaks California in two, we'll have to reconsider the question (:
