Does anyone use an old-fashioned mug and brush and shaving soap rather than aerosol gel and shave with a double-edge razor rather than a cartridge or disposable razor? Does it do better and is it more economical than modern shaving tools? I need to know because I thought more about it. Could you please provide me with more of the information? Thank you.

Anymore it is not more economical. I have noticed a better shave (on the hubbys face) with the old fashioned razor. But unless you are very very good with sharp blades.....it doesn't pay. Its VERY easy to get cut. Modern razors are cheaper and do a good job. The older ons are getting expensive as not many people make the shaving 'soap' anymore or the razors. Remington used to be my fav.
Just an opinion.
