they will look until they find her and if she goes back to school she will be hauled back home unless there is abuse going on in the home and then she doesn't need to hide she needs to go to the police and report it and they will probably put her somewhere safe until it is investigated

School.... problem. Under 18 and they will try and bring her back home. @ 18, a school has the ability and right to not accept them, as they are now adults. Some schools may turn her away if she is over 18, some will take her though.
Secondly, the police search. Most Police hand out photos of a runaway to their officers in certain areas. They may fax, email or send photos to other jurisdictions, and even states, if they feel the runaway may even leave those areas. Actively searching, as in having an officer or two looking for her, maybe a week.

they're still considered minors and are still in the custody of the parents. so the police has to take the runaway home, unless the runaway committed a crime and must be detained for a period of time. of course the parents have to be notified as well.

They will probally look for her for a couple of weeks around the surrounding counties...but i think its not safe to run away..plus it might hurt not only her but her family who is looking for her.

Please contact the police and inform them so they quit looking.. It is a waste of tax money for them to look if you know where she is. Contact Social services and get her and her family some help.

it' good that u'r friend is keen on school
it's bad to run away like that, though.
i guess u'll have to keep her in hiding till she's eighteen and an adult.
