I'm talking about the riddle in the 80's hit "riddle" by Nik Kershaw. What the hell does it mean? It is below for anyone who hasn't heard the song

near a tree by a river
there's a hole in the ground
where an old man of aran
goes around and around
and his mind is a beacon
in the veil of the night
for a strange kind of fashion
there's a wrong and a right
but he'll never, never fight over you

The location was a con ,it never existed , the idea was put foward by the record as a promotion gimmic , the words of the song are just words no clue to anywhere or no riddle

Nik Kershaw himself said that it's just a nonsense rhyme. There was no answer, and there never will be.

Good song, though. :)

Never mind that, what happened to his baldy mate with the chains who used to "dance" about with him? That's a real riddle.
