Well, usually bleeding is a very bad sign. Sorry.
Of course, there are rare cases where everything turns out fine, I think you & your sister should prepare yourselves for the possibikity that she might be having a miscarriage.
I miscarried last year at about 9 weeks, and my husband & I tried and tried to look on the bright side, and be optimistic, and keep telling ourselves that "maybe it's nothing" and "everything will be fine" but in the end it would have been easier on us had we accepted what was happening from the beginning.
But good for you getting to the ER right away, if there is ANY chance of a good outcome here, it will be thanks to timely medical help. Good luck, best wishes.

yeah my sister totally freaked and was 3 months we were all crying but it was scary because she was bleeding kinda bad and clots but everything ended up fine. She did have to bed rest for a few weeks but my niece was fine and is now shes almost 2yrs old. But tell her to be extra carful and no absulutoly no heavy lifting or over working because it could hurt the baby...So no matter what just be there for her......~k~

That doesn't sound good at all. I am also 12 weeks and I haven't seen a drop of blood since day 1!

I am sorry to say that it doesn't look good. spotting can happen and have nothing wrong, but full bleeding isn't a good sign.
