It appears as 1 of 2 options the second organize a national Militia of the people in command, "not the National Guard" but after what Bush has done to them maybe they would be inclined to join us. This would be ideal in removing the scum at all levels of government cause your not going to do it with corrupt Political/voting system that's faking democracy elections without any verifiable proof in the entire history of USA!

To "defect" means to leave a country because of political thoughts or abuses that an individual or group did not want to be a part of. Typically, defectors leave a country when the government crosses them in some ill way.
Thus, Russians left Russia for America to leave a tyranny of sorts and become part of a good regime.
Can Americans defect to Canada? Surely, they can. That does not necessarily mean that Canada will accept you. Even if you do defect, the country you try to leave to may not accept you within its borders. Defecting is usually seen as a bad action on the part of the nation taking in the person.
The best question, though, is why should you defect to Canada?
Usually, defectors are being threatened with jail, have nothing to eat, have no where to sleep, no clothes to wear, or cannot provide for their family. In essence, those who defect are ones whose way of life is shattered by said government.
Is your life threatened in this way? If it is not, it seems defecting would be more a knee-jerk reaction rather than the purdential judgement to make.
If you do not like the politics that one regime is doing, try to change it through any legal and ethical means possible. If this does not work and your very life or way of life becomes threatened, then it may be time to take more drastic actions.
With that said, the only people I have seen defect in modern America are soldiers who do not want to serve their military duties. They usually leave for Canada. There is still a price to be paid though. Once these soldiers return, they are put on trial for fleeing assigned combat duties. The punishment for this sort of defecting can be up to five years in jail.

The USSR built walls to keep people in, the US builds walls to keep illegals out. That fact SHOULD register with even you.
BTW, the border to Canada is open 24/7, have a nice trip, and Oh yeah, make it one way...

Russians escaped from Russia because they were oppressed under the "Communist Utopia" instituted there from the Bolshevik revolution.
If you live in America, there is no comparison whatsoever.

I suppose, if you can somehow prove that you've been oppressed or persecuted by the gov't. I don't see how though.
But why defect when you can immigrate much easier?

We don't need to defect. We can go on our own 'free will'. Because we have that God given right and our system of government RESPECTS that. Interesting, isn't it!?

I don't know why any American would want to, but if you'd like, go right ahead.
