Every woman is different. My husband and I are using Natural Family Planning (or NFP) to try to concieve (incidentally, it is also a natural way to avoid pregnancy--we've used it as that as well). There are signs of fertility in each woman that a couple can use to best time intercourse to concieve or avoid a baby.
Your vaginal discharge becomes more wet, slippery and stretchy when you are fertile. From the first day of these symptoms to about 9 days later, it is possible to conceive. Also, your cervix will be higher up in your body and it will be open--you can actually feel it with your finger to check. Finally, your basal body temperature will rise after you have ovulated--also a good sign (but a little late, since all six days before ovulation you are fertile as well). A good resource for more information about NFP is here: www.ccli.org.
Thanks for reading and God Bless!

If you count the first day of your period as Day #1. You should start having sex every other day (everyday if possible) on Day 11 (Oct.3) through Day 21 (Oct. 13).
Most fertility experts consider Day 14 to be the big "O" but it can vary.
If you have longer than 28 day periods, then ovulation will be later, shorter periods, it will be sooner.
All odds are, you already missed it - but the good part is you can try again next month. (And there are very slight odds that you still can get preggers now.)

If it was the 23rd of September, your time has passed most likely this month. I'm 7 weeks pregnant, and with a 28 day cycle, it's usually 14 days after the 1st day of your period. It took me 17 days after mine to conceive, and am 7 weeks pregnant.

This is my standard answer......... go get a book called Taking Charge of your fertility by Toni Weschler
This book will help you with all of your menstrual and conception questions. It’s for all women - not just women trying to conceive. It covers everything from temperature to mucus checking, etc.. It will help you understand your body and all the myths about it. It will help you time when you are ovulating and the best times to conceive – or not! It tells you how to figure out your cycle and what to expect. My husband and I tried for a year to conceive and nothing happened. The first month I used the book we conceived right away. Now I am due Feb 2. It's about knowing your body and knowing when you are fertile or not. You can pick and choose what you do with your info. Good luck and don't listen the all the myths!

Ummm...sorry to say that your time for the middle of the month of Oct. is up. I am trying to get pregnant, but haven't been too obsessed about it. I had my period the 22nd of Sept. and the best time to concieve was Oct. 4th-8th for you if you have a regular 28 day cycle. We would both be due to have our periods very soon, correct? The next would be Nov. 1st-5th for you.

If you have a 28 day regular cycle, then the answer you need is 14 days before the next one is due. The day you start your period is the 1st day of your cycle.
Your date would have been 11 days ago on the 07th October.
Good luck on trying next month.

15 days after you started is when you ovilate. Your egg is fertile for 3 days, like sperm. So that would have been on Oct. 8th-10th. Good Luck next month!

Between April and September. You don't want to be very pregnant in the summer, it's too hot.
