I'm TERRIFIED of lightning and thunderstorms especially in bed! But for some reason, when I'm with people they don't bother me at all. WHY????

i dont even understand people being terrified of them...i have a couple of friends who shut all the windows etc like its gonna come in and get them...i love thunderstorms with a passion and am either out in them, taking pics of them or enjoying how much my energy and senses feel heightened when one occurs... i open my door and windows to let in all that energy,lol...i know my friends feel better when theres someone there but it wouldnt matter what you were afraid of company always makes you feel better i guess...you are probably feel less threatened in company as there would be someone to share things with if it got bad...;0)

Because you know that the probability to be hit by a lightning is divided among the number of persons with you!!!

so always be with friends, specially taller ones!!

because u r with people that allay ur fears because they r probably making jokes and such. when u r alone, ur superstitions get the better of u and make u fearful.

It's called downward comparison in psychology. It's because we like to know others are going through exactly what we are, so we're not alone.
