A dear friend's mother always sends me e-mail forwards. I try to look at them briefly since she took the time to send it to me. Today I received one that I thought was in poor taste (it was about the school shootings) and which I did not agree with theologically (the e-mail basically said the school shootings were a result of God not being allowed in schools.) I think God is in your heart even if prayer is not scheduled in the school day. Plus, students can always pray silently. What would you do? Just delete and move on? Respond? Ignore?

If I were you, I will just delete and move on. The message seemed to be relevant to the sender that is why she forwarded it to you but everyone got differences on outlooks and personal views so there is no question if you consider it in poor taste. You cannot be rude to the sender considering she is your dear friend's mother. A little respect will owe you more benefits in the long run. Just ignore such message, she just forwarded it anyway and I don't think someone who forwards a message always expects a reply. Anyway, as a sign of courtesy you may forward to her also anything which seems interesting to you, I am pretty sure she will appreciate that. Good day!♥

I don't open forwarded email. Period. Most of it's sappy, sentimental crap that the forwarder probably didn't even bother to read. If it's got that FW: mark in the subject line I delete it.

I only allow my email program to accept people in my Contacts list. If someone persists in sending junk, I delete them from that list and any emails they send automatically get deleted.

Start your own fwd message in reply to the one that's sent. Add some stupid graphic to it and make sure to end it with "send it to everyone you know" or "pass it on".

I'd ask her to stop sending them to you. I've had to do that with people before and they've respected my wishes and stopped sending me the offensive stuff.

Just to be tactful, ignore it and move on.
