I'm a barrel racer or you could say I rodeo. But the thing is rodeos are getting very expensive. i desparetly need some sponsors that can help pay for my runs. Does anyone have an ideas on how I can get sponsors.

Go to Montana State Univerisity and join the rodeo team....

Just a few suggestions. The sponsors have to benefit somehow too. So make sure you approach companies that have something to gain. For instance, if you wear their logo on your shirt or whatever, make sure that their company would appeal to the mass audience of rodeo watchers.

Approach sponsors in person if possible - it's harder for them to say no to your face and easier for you to persuade them. Be knowledgeable and do your homework. Show them how they would benefit from sponsoring you. For instance: I do 4 rodeos a year. Each show brings in approx. 1000 people. That's 4,000 people I can advertise your company to for a fraction of the cost of what a print ad may cost you.

Give them a ballpark range of what you're looking for money wise. You can negotiate from there but at least have some figure in mind.

Be personable. Your personality and attitude will go a long way.
