Well you see, its like this...........
After landing in Metropolis Darth Vader causes havok with his Stormtroopers, Superman hears the commotion and arrives at Super Speed and proceeds to mop the floor with the Stormtroopers.
Darth Vader uses the force to try and strangle Supes, but is countered by Supermans Heat Ray, which then finishes off what Obi-Wan Kenobi started, frying him to a cinder.
Superman - 1
Darth Vader - 0
Forgone conclusion really, old Darth never stood a chance.

Those of us living in the real world know that good does not always overcome evil. Darth Vaders powers are metaphysical in nature which gives him an advantage in this fight.( Superman is vulnerable to magic) Im going to give this one to Vader.

As much as I believe Superman and his powers could best Vader. I think Vader would win at the end of the battle. Although I would like to add that one day Superman's children would come back and return the favor several episodes later.

Superman has the speed and the strength advantage, plus the ability to reverse time.
However, old Darth has the power of dark side at his disposal. That's something you really shouldn't underestimate.
So that leaves us considering who has the age advantage?
Now Superman is around 70 years old, having been created sometine in the 1930's.
However, Darth comes from a long long time ago in a galaxy far far away.
So he's definitely getting on a bit these days.
Besides, all that travelling from the galaxy far far away must have left him a bit jet-lagged and tired. As a result, his reactions will be dulled and sluggish.
So with all things considered, I'd have to put my money on Superman.

Heck no. Superman could totally take Darth Vader, anytime, anywhere.

Maybe. Superman is vulnerable to psionic powers, and if the lightsaber emits the same rays as a red sun (see my previous Best Answer on that topic) Superman is in deep kimchee. But if Superman is forewarned, and can use his heat vision at long range, then Darth had better hope that he can outrun him in his TIE fighter!

maybe superman is tempted by the dark side and he becomes evil!! so Darth Vader will be the winner and the absolute master of the universe

Im not sure he could use force lightnng as lightning could pass on supes powers to someone else but im not sure if darths capable of that now with all the implants but i think superman would be able to take him pretty easily as he could take him up into space and i dont think darths breather thing could handle that.

With the fact that Darth Vadar is basically a Jedi/Sith god and superman cant block a light saber or has no psionic capabilites
I would say Clark is toast
