Na, they are slugs that are travellers, normal slugs 'ate-em, because they cause trouble where ever they go (and they always get in the way when you are trying to get on).

Snails are ace. I myself asked a question about snails (they make me laugh, the way they all start crossing over paths + roads when it starts raining) + where are they going up the side of houses?
