I agree with the first answerer. If you don't take care of your health, you can get diagnosed with diabetes, or vice versa.

Being over weight can contribute to Type 2 diabetes. And often some of the medicines they put you can can cause people to weight gain also.

Yes. It works both ways. When you increase your blood sugar by overeating, your pancreas can't compensate with enough insulin and it will get used to having too much sugar in the blood. Then you start to develop Type II diabetes, which leads to more weight gain.

Being over weight can lead to diabetes, yes ..

and being diabetic, would rather make u lose weight [ in some patients, not all ]

both ways, but is more common that over weight led to diabetis that viceversa because the sugar and fat processing in a diabetic person rarely makes him/her gain weight, but... there are cases!
