Treasure beach is a quiet fishing community mostly, black sand beaches,in fact the entire south west and central coast of Jamaica is the last remaining part of the island that meets the sea were, were large scale tourism development has not taken place, there are a few hotels, but they are more like small cottages or quiet tuck away areas sometimes Unknown to the majority of tourist who travel to Jamaica.
Prices can be moderate but not as expensive as those that are more saut after on the north coast areas,(Montego bay, Negril,Ochi Rios and etc;)
Things that the southern area has to offer, Safari on the Black river Morass and swamp which a very rich area in Bio diversity.Y'S falls,Beautiful fall located near middle quaters,Hiking in the cockpit country, visiting the maroons decendants of warriors who fought the British for Jamaican independence. and the best part its food, fish and bammy and many other dishies.Overall their is something for every body, get a guide if you will be staying at one of the local hotels, these hotels are not like the more larger and all inclusive ones on the north coast.so things will be a little more different.Good luck on your visit,be sure to enjoy.

I 've been in Treasure Beach in the end of my three weeks in Jamaica. I did a tour of the island and I can say Treasure Beach is the most lazy, quiet, friendly place of the island. Jamaica has a problem of hassle in resort areas. Treasure Beach is a small comunity of farmers and fishermen that welcome you. If you like all inclusives, resorts with everything for the family don't go to Treasure Beach but if you like chating with locals about the weather, hanging around without hassle in the streets, go. As a small comunity, they love children and yes, it's much more cheaper then the resort areas of north (Mo' Bay, Ocho Rios, Negril). Many of the places to stay there are cottages. There's only one bigger hotel. Everything is in small scale.

I am from south field a 20 minute drive away they have a plaza with a gym and other stuff to .Then they have Jacks sprat and Jake's and its wonderful especially Jacks Sprat the decoration which is great and they sell sea food and pizza , They are right near the beach which hardly is very cold .But Treasure beach resorts are great except one time I spend time there and the generator was not working so we were in the dark .The Treasure beach hotel is not really nice it is really not where you would want to be the resorts are still the same thing but more private . oops I forgot to say Jake's and Jack sprat have movie night Thursday so you will have entertainment.

I trust the previous positioned up. Jamaica is a good place to return and forth, yet basically like numerous different city in the international, you could desire to know your environment. As for a quiet place to reax and write, i could certainly recommend Montego Bay. i've got in no way been to Negril, so i'm uncertain what you could anticipate there. although, I incredibly have been to Montego Bay and located it quite relaxing and non violent at evening. Granted, in accordance with what day of the week you return and forth there is extra human beings out in the line than customary using events and stuff, yet usual, i found it quite relaxing. it is quite useful to ascertain out the Gloucestshire hotel. it is placed straight away around the line from Dr. Cove's coastline, and the charges are notably respectable. The rooms are astonishing and the provider is likewise respectable. The inn valuable aspects a very astonishing outdoors balcony that I enjoyed sitting on and gazing the solar upward thrust and set over the sea. basically endure in strategies: be sure you're conscious of your environment in any respect situations, basically such as you would be on your place of birth, and revel in your self! secure travels!

I have been to Montego Bay. It was absolutley georgeous! There was a huge drug problem but just politley decline & they won't take offense. I would stay on the resort but if you travel outside the resort go in a group. When I went it was fairly inexpensive. Have fun!
