Have we benefited from swinging? I'd say "yes we have." Our relationship was already very good before we got into the lifestyle, but it's even better since. We are always hugging, kissing, holding hands, spooning, or touching in some other way, shape, or form. We definitely communicate better than we used to, about everything; sex, work, money, the kids, etc. Successful swinging requires great communication, and if you can cross the bridge about talking about having sex with someone else with your spouse, imagine how easy the rest will come.
Contrary to what some on the outside looking in might think, swinging can strengthen an already good relationship. It sure won't fix a relationship with problems though. Swinging will just make problem relationships worse.
Even in good relationships though, both members of the couple have to want to swing. It's not something you can talk your spouse into. It has to be something they want to experience too. It's not for everybody, as shown here with some of the comments about it ruining a relatioship. I feel 99% of the time these come from people who have no personal experience in it (or at least approaching it the right way) and are just speaking from personal fears and biases about what it could do to their relationship. Like I mentioned, it's not for everybody, and that's okay.

I took my kids to the park last night and we had a great time on the swings. I dont really think you get much healthy exercise out of it but it is always nice to spend some time with the kids.

I woulnd't know. I'm totally against that. I just can't grasp the concept of my husband and I doin' it with other couples Too wierd for me! But, it's all up to you and your spouse. If you're both into it and want to try it, why not. Just keep in mind that feelings are going to get screwed up. How would you feel if you saw your spouse with another person? How would your spouse feel? Lots of things to think about on this one.

yes my husband and i thoroughly enjoy the lifestyle. if you are secure in your relationship, there is nothing to worry about. we have been doing it for about 9 years and we know couples that have done it that long and longer. besides there is nothing hotter then seeing your spouse with someone else
