Please if anyone knows I have no sound coming from my laptop, there is if I play a video clip , but when I go into some sights that should have sound effects there is no sound,I have checked the sound and mute on the computer and its fine.

it isnt on mute, because you said that it wasnt. I had the same problem with my desktop. I couldnt hear anything unless I was playing a cd or a mp3 that was stored on the hard drive. Couldnt hear anything on myspace or normal Windows Chimes. Talked to a lot of people, reinstalled the sound card and drivers. Nothing worked. Finally just has to format my hard drive and lay a fresh copy of windows down. Worked fine after that.

Check that its not on mute. there could be a mute button on the side of the laptop. there is also a sound control center in the start bar,probably under accessories somewhere, depends on the os.

Click on the blue arrow in the bottom right hand corner of the screen
When the menu bar opens out click on the volume button (it looks like a speaker)
Uncheck mute (if it is on)
If not dunno...
