I would check with your obgyn. My doctor recommended things such as yogurt, cheese, milk, etc. If you can tolerate those items getting calcium from food is always better than from a supplement. Try reading food labels and looking for calcium if it has 10 to 15% per serving it is a good source, anything higher is a great. You would be supprised at some of the foods that have calcium in them.

Yoghurts Or cheese?
Freeze the yoghurts if it makes it sound more palatable & side affect of the cold can counteract the nausea feeling u know so well.
There's also calcium in most green vegetables, cabbage, spinach & the like.
I would say it's not a good idea 2 take either rolaids or tums, as they R not advisable during pregnancy & there's better ways 2 get ur calcium.
But seems 2 depend on the Doc/MD/GP whether they're safe 2 take.
Congrats 2 u & urs.

take a prenatal. eat broccoli and kale.
Try orange juice with calcium and vitamin d. You can take all the calcium you want, but if you dont get sun and you dont take vitamin d your body cant use it.
You can try tums, but i'd double check with your doctor first. You can take rolaids, theyre the exact same thing as tums. So long as theyre the regular ones. Thers no difference. We get rolaids free at work, and thats what i take for pregnant heartburn.

Try some other calcium rich foods throughout the day, cheese, ice cream, soy milk, broccoli, etc. But Tums are a good source of calcium.

Rolaids or Tums are probably not a good idea as a supplement. They make chocolate candy calcium supplements that are much better (and tastier) that you can get at any drugstore in the vitamin section.

Well, first off, dont take anything without talking first to your doctor. (dont trust a pharmicist, I had a million different answers to one question from them) Anyways, Take your Prenatal Vitamin! its perfect for your body and your baby. Also, if milk makes you nauseous, try Very vanilla soy milk. Tastes nothing like milk but so flavorful and tasty. It also contains the same amount of calcium as milk. I had the same problem and thats what I did!

I have to take tums all the time because of heartburn. I am pregnant with my third child, I have changed doctors because of moving, and both doctors that I have been to says that tums are great!! If you still feel like you aren't getting enough, talk to your doctor, and see if he/she may want to prescribe you some kind of supplements.
Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!!

Get citracal calcium tablets. Your daily prenatal vitamin also contains calcium.
Do not use ANY medicines without the permission of your doctor.

Calcium is absorbed by the body when consumed with vitamin D or when consumed with being exposed to sun light. Your doctor should prescribe you something that will be quickly absorbed by your body.
Your baby is fine, it is you that will have a chance of loosing your teeth or getting osteoporosis.
