I think it's www.baa.com - google for British Airports Authority, see what they say, if anything.
I haven't flown from Heathrow for a while. But in the smaller airports, the standard one hour check-in is still just about do-able. I try not to leave it that short though.
My guess is that 90 minutes will be plenty and 60 will be ok, but no less than that.

It really depends on which philosopher you have just been reading. If it is the one who insists that there are no cats, just feline sense data, then your shorthaul flight from one end of Heathrow to the other probably feels like a giraffe.

Try putting this Q in the travel catagory or something. THIS IS THE PHILOSOPHY SECTION!!!!!!!!!!! Shorthaul flights times are don't have much to do with philosophy do they?!?!? and if you studied philosophy, why don't you know this already?!?!?
