I come up with 3. Does anyone have anything different?

(sqrt18)/(sqrt2)
sqrt(18/2)=sqrt(9)=+/-3.

Very good. I don't know if your teacher wants you to write the +/- or not.

sqrt18 = sqrt2 * sqrt9

so the problem simplifies to sqrt9.... which would be 3.

It is the relation of the sqrts that your teacher wants you to recognize.

root 18 = root 9 x root 2

therefore


root 9 x root 2
------------------------ = root 9 = 3
root 2
