I am an adult who worked around smoke for over 8 years. I have smoked off and on for over 12 years. I have a great career and family.

Personally, I think that the law stinks! I don't like the idea that the government is controlling the "little things". You will hear people praise the smoking ban, because they do not have to smell smoke in a public place.

Where are these people who support the ban? Where I live a lot of Taverns and Bars, and Mini-Casinos are hurting for business. Some places are closing down, because the smoker's can go to the reservations to smoke freely.

I am not someone who hates non-smokers and I respect them for their decision. But make sure that you research the effect it has had on small businesses and how many people are unemployed because of it.

Personally, I think the ban has hurt more people financially. My opinion, but smoking has been around for many, many years. Yes it is known that it is not healthy and causes cancer. But, if you worked in an establishment that had smoking and you were a non-smoker, you have no right to complain. There are a lot of careers out there without the cigarette crowd.

Contact the Unemployment Office in your area to see what the increase or decrease has been since the ban.

We don't have a smoking ban. Short paper, eh? The reason we don't have one is that the Congressmen who aren't bought and paid for by the tobacco industry are craven yellow-bellied lily-livered spineless cowards.

I'm all for it - as far as I'm concerned, another person's right to smoke and pollute their lungs ends where my lungs begin. You don't have to smoke - I have to breathe.
