No. Your body can create tears as long as the parts of the body that are able to make them can still function.
After that, all you need to do is supply the water. Tear ducts do the rest, automatically. Remember, your eyes are constantly making tears. Tears are what keeps the eyeballs from drying out.
"lizzette M" does not quite have it right. If you dont supply the water, you die. You can still make tears, long after you stop drinking water.

I was also going to answer that one cannot run out of tears (physically or emotionally,) but I wonder, are there any diseases that affect the tear ducts or the eye lubrication process?

In a sense. If you cry a truly excessive amount youre tear ducts, and the tissue around them, will swell and squeeze off the flow. Also, dehydration will prevent the production of tears, as well as sweat and urine.

Yes, like Peter Pan said; if you were dying of thirst in the desert, you;d be too dehydrated to produce any tears. Like your saliva and urine would dry up, and so would your sweat. You;d become too dehydrated to make any.
Your body would concentrate on keeping fluid in your blood. If that becomes too dry and viscous, your heart would fail.

no, your tear ducts could be damaged, but you do not have a well of tears that will eventually run dry.
