Yes, there have been cases where one baby was hiding behind the other.

Go have another ultra sound! You may be getting bigger because of fluid as well! Keep your secluded appointments! Another baby could be hiding! I was real thin when I got pregnant the first time. She only weighed 5lb and 1oz. I did not gain a lot of weight either but I had to start wearing maternity clothes real soon! Listen don't pay any attention to those who shout that you are out of shape or eating to much. Take good care of yourself and the baby! Tell anyone who makes rude comments to you to go to the bathroom-they are full of **it.

No,with todays ultrasound they would have seen two baby's. They saw my twins at 5 weeks, they can see how many are in there. You can gain alot of weight fast with a single pregnancy. While i was pregnant with my twins i didn't start showing till 16 and a half weeks,it all depends on your body type.I ate like a pig too, everyday all day.Showing since 6 weeks is very odd.It all depends like i said on your body type.

I am a twin and my mom didnt know til she was having us. On the ultrasound, my brother was always in front of me and therefore, I could not be seen at all. That was 29 years ago, I would think that they are pretty thorough now though and would check to make sure there is only one. Is this your first baby? I was in excellent shape with my first pregnancy and still gained 50 pounds. Best of luck with your pregnancy and congratulations!!

I think you might be refering to my comment about out of shape women, but it also has to do with ultra skinny women, normal sized and women who have had more than one child. If this is your second+ child you will show earlier than all the others. It also has to do with your bone structure and where you gain weight(when you do while not prego).
Ultrasounds are not a 100%.

There is that possiblity that the 2nd baby wouldnt be see. I am a twin. My mother did not know about me till 2 days before she went into labor. I was hidden right behind my brother. The Dr. couldnt decide if my heart beat was beating the same as my brother or my mother. Anyways I am proof that it is possible to have twins and not know it.

You sound like me! I've been having the same problem. It is possible to not see a second baby. Plus it's possible for baby's heart beats to be synchronized. Just remember the smaller you are, the more your gonna show and the earlier too!

not really possible if you had an ultrasound it also would get the heart beats and your dr would have let you known also when they measure your belly if the numbers were off they would send you for another ultrasound maybe because you have a small frame thats why your showing

hey listen don't take everything people write on this site at heart
you might be showing because the baby is big and remember you probably were very skinny before preg so your stomach look bigger when actually it is normal size for a preg person
2 you might be carry twin and it waitign to suprise you I know that happen to a friend of mine
so take care of yourself
Good Luck

if u've ever seen the movie 1/2 a dozen babies, until the woman had her babies, they thought she was having 5 babies, but there was 1 more hidding in a pocket. but the 6th baby had problems, and they did surgery on her and she lived.
I didn't say that to make you nervus, I said it for an example of something that happened in a movie.

I dont think so, even if the other baby was hiding (which is unlikely) they would be able to hear 2 heartbeats. They are trained for this and it's not something they would miss.
