there isn't a time table and some never change it. It's per preference on who you'd like to change.

Usually when a team goes through a 'transition phase' just about everything gets upgraded. Robert Kraft bought the Pats in 2000, that's when they got a logo upgrade, and when the Browns came back; well, they just came back, that's really I can say. 'Newer teams, like the Jags, Panthers, Texans, they've got that flashy look so the fans will be entranced...
As for the 'spammer' who is ripping on the Colts, shame on you, sir. For a franchise that has been around as long as they have, I sure hope your degrading the logo they had during their early years in Baltimore...
As for new a new logo, maybe the Browns should adopt an Art Modell in crosshairs design for the helmets...

Logos don't change often, and usually only change if a team has a major internal change, such as ownership and/or a new stadium. Its generally done to distance themselves from a negative past.
Given that final statement, the Arizona Cardinals could sure use a new logo but the Bidwell family is staunchly against that.
Also, the Browns could use a new logo. Why? Because they don't have one! Haha. That's unlikely since the city fought hard to keep their non-logo from going to Balitmore.

The Browns definitely need a new logo. It's a fricken helmet. And when they show highlights on FOX they just show a brown blob. If they can't think of anything new I say go back to the little Brownie guy, he's way cooler than a helmet.

How is the Brown's "logo" classic? They obviously didn't keep that little elf guy, so it's not even the original one.
The Browns are my answer though. They should put a dog head on the side or something.

Classic teams like the Steelers and Browns have logos that are timeless... "New age" logos such as the Ravens, Panthers, Patriots... are ones that will always change. Classics never die

The Browns uniforms haven't changed since the beginning. I say leave it alone. We can do without the sissy graphics some of these teams use. It's friggin football for crying out loud. Not a fashion show.

The Colts horseshoe is the ugliest logo in pro football.

I think the Ravens need a new logo. When you think of all the cool things that could be done with a sharp looking raven head then compare it to the cartoon-ish one they have now...it's pathetic!

The team I think that NEEDS to change their logo is The Washington Redskins. It is derogatory and shameful. The government used to pay people to bring in a dead Indian for a small amount of change.
