I send my clothes for alteration, and the store screwed it up. After I filed a claim. They finally willing to give me a fully amount for my clothes, but they get to keep my clothes. Is that right? Is there anyway I can get my clothes back?

I have called Young Laundry to ask for my garment back. The management had this attitude and not even apolygize. Obvioiusly, they didn't think that they did a bad job. Unbelievable!!

No, if they are giving you a payment for the garmets that they caused damage to they are entitled to keep the property. If you want your clothes back you need to forfeit the payment that they gave you. Unfortunately, you can not have it both ways as they are probably covered (and have posted) that they are not responsible for damages to garmets.

If you made it part of the settlement stipulation that you get your clothes back, you would have got them back.

Without the stipulation, they get to keep them.

If it's not too late, refuse to settle for anything less than your clothes and the cash. You can say they have sentimental value.

If they pay you for the replacement value of the clothes, it's basically like they bought them.
